BYD Celebrates Surpassing 4,000 Sales of the Atto 3 with a National Day Carnival Dedicated to BYD Owners in Singapore
Represented by Sime Darby Motors, BYD is excited to announce that more than 4,000 units of BYD ATTO 3 have been sold in Singapore since its launch in 2022. The announcement was made at BYD’s National Day Carnival, held at Southside Sentosa, dedicated to BYD owners in Singapore.
In less than three years, the BYD ATTO 3 has become a favourite among Singaporean drivers as it offers great value at an affordable price point with an array of advanced technology and safety features. In the first six months of 2024, BYD has solidified its position as the best-selling car brand in Singapore (based on AMD figures) with 16% of the market share.
Mr James Ng, Managing Director of BYD Singapore and Philippines said, “We began our EV journey here in Singapore 10 years ago, and today, we are proud to be ranked No. 1 in AMD sales—a remarkable achievement made possible by the unwavering support of our EV owners. The sale of 4,000 units of a single car model, the BYD ATTO 3, is a strong testament to our brand's capabilities in producing high-quality yet affordable vehicles. We believe that our exciting new product lineup will carry the same value proposition, enabling us to offer strong options across every car segment."
BYD celebrated this achievement with its customers at the second iteration of the BYD National Day Carnival at Southside Sentosa. The event was attended by over 600 BYD owners and their families, featuring a live screening of the National Day Parade on a massive outdoor screen, engaging live entertainment and interactive games. There were also food trucks offering a variety of treats for families to enjoy. Adding a local touch to the festivity was a special durian tasting.
“This is our second year organising the National Day Carnival at Southside Sentosa and we are thrilled with the enthusiasm our BYD owners have for the brand. In addition to the celebration, BYD also announced the impending arrival of a new model in Singapore – the BYD M6, which is slated to launch in September 2024. The BYD M6 is a fully electric 7-seater MPV perfect for families. The upcoming model will offer the latest technology and safety features in addition to BYD’s existing lineup.
