Pattaya. Sime Darby Auto Sports Ltd. has officially opened the fourth Porsche Centre in Thailand, the state-of-the-art new Porsche Centre Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road, Banglamung, South Pattaya. Spanning over 9,900 sqm, the newest Porsche facility integrates the latest “Destination Porsche” corporate architecture to deliver an elevated customer experience.
The new Porsche Centre Pattaya was officially inaugurated on 6 May 2025. During the evening event, Sime Darby Auto Sports Ltd. took the opportunity to showcase several exciting models: the new 911 GTS T-Hybrid, recently revealed at the Bangkok International Motor Show, as well as a Spyder RS in Paint-to-Sample pure green and a GT4 RS in shark blue. Both vehicles are the only units in their respective colours in Thailand and were unveiled together for the first time ever in the country.
“Our long-standing partnership with Porsche has spanned decades in Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and now, Thailand. It has been a remarkable journey marked by significant milestones, from setting up Porsche’s first vehicle assembly facility outside of Europe in Inokom, Malaysia, to now producing Porsche Cayennes that are exported to Thailand. We remain committed to upholding world class standards as we continue to accelerate mobility across the region,” said Mr. Andrew Basham, Managing Director of Sime Motors.
“Porsche continues to grow from strength to strength in Thailand,” said Mr. Hannes Ruoff, CEO Porsche Asia Pacific. “2024 was a year of remarkable milestones for Thailand, for example the import of the first regionally assembled Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé, to the highly anticipated Porsche Design Tower Bangkok and the pop-up concept Curvistan Bangkok. Now, we extend our dealer network further, with the opening of the impressive new Porsche Centre Pattaya. We look forward to elevating the Porsche ownership experience here in the East of Thailand even further with our business partners.”
Mr. Michael Vetter, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand echoed this positive sentiment: “Porsche Thailand proudly welcomes its fourth Porsche Centre into the fold. In Sime Darby Auto Sports Ltd. we join hands with a trusted and proven business partner, with plenty of Porsche experience. Porsche enthusiasts can take comfort in knowing that their cherished sports cars will receive the highest standard of care.”
“We are delighted to celebrate the grand opening of the new Porsche Centre Pattaya,” said Mr. Arnt Bayer, Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto Sports Ltd. “With outstanding facilities, highly trained staff and meticulous attention to detail, we are ready to deliver excellent customer service. We look forward to serving Porsche customers and enthusiasts throughout the Eastern region of Thailand, from Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat and of course also Pattaya, and welcoming them to the Porsche family.”
The “Destination Porsche” experience Porsche Centre Pattaya is one of the first brand-new facilities in Porsche Asia Pacific region1 that integrates the latest “Destination Porsche” corporate architecture concepts. The exterior façade of the showroom features design elements of red over traditional silver, representing Porsche's rich passion and heritage, a pioneering spirit and continuous innovation – values that are also embodied in every Porsche sports car.
It also incorporates energy-efficient features such as highly insulated roofs, walls, and glazing to reduce heat gain and ensure lower energy consumption. To decrease the reliance on non-renewable energy sources, Porsche Centre Pattaya integrates stormwater collection and rainwater recycling. Combined with water-efficient fixtures, this can reduce the use of potable water by up to 50% or more than 255,000 litres per year. In addition, the new Porsche Centre Pattaya features a rooftop photo voltaic energy production system with a maximum capacity of 261 kWh. This allows the facility to generate up to 50% of its electricity consumption via renewable resources on-site.
Inside, customers are warmly greeted by a spacious and modern showroom with a ‘Racing Line’ where new cars are lined up. The main display area can cater for up to eight cars, with abundant natural light filling the space and highlighting the spectacular cars on display. Additionally, the showroom is equipped with cutting-edge digital features, including the latest Porsche Car Configurator and flexible spaces designed to accommodate a variety of purposes like co-working and showroom events.
A curated Porsche Lifestyle merchandise corner, with items like model cars, accessories and apparel specially imported from Germany, is also available. This carefully selected range allows customers to express their passion or infuse the iconic Porsche spirit into their everyday life.
Porsche Service Pattaya – Premium levels of training and service Porsche Centre Pattaya is well-equipped to service all models from the iconic German sports car brand, thanks to advanced facilities and highly trained staff ready to optimise experiences for both maintenance and repair.
Specialised facilities and tools are catered exclusively for Porsche vehicles at Porsche Centre Pattaya; for example, the fully-equipped workshop integrates a dedicated battery repair room for the unique Porsche EV battery modular repair concept, an engine and transmission repair room, diagnostic work bays, an electronic headlight tester with camera system, an advanced automatic wheel balancer that can even simulate the road force during the fitting process. There is also a web-based 3D wheel aligner and a lever-less, centre-post tire changer. Tools and maintenance equipment are maintained to high standards, a requirement for any Porsche service facility.
In addition, the workshop has been fitted with inground hoists, allowing a clutter-free workshop environment and maximising floor space with unobstructed access to a vehicle's underside as well as cabin, since no posts interfere with the door opening area of the vehicle. Last but not least, these hoists offer enhanced safety due to their low profile and greater durability compared to above-ground lifts.
On the second floor, Porsche Centre Pattaya boasts an impressive body and paint workshop. It is equipped with a VAS-certified body collision repair equipment, alongside a temperature-controlled welding room – each designed from the ground up for optimal processing of steel and aluminium body repairs. In addition, there are two fully enclosed paint preparation rooms, a multi-material work bay and two state-of-the-art paint booths ready to take care of the repair needs of any Porsche vehicle.
Of course, customers of Porsche Centre Pattaya also can enjoy peripheral services such as protective car coating, paint protection film (PPF) application, window, sunroof and moonroof film applications, interior touch-ups, and leather care.
The Porsche Service Pattaya team is a highly experienced team comprised of skilled technicians and body and paint specialists trained in Porsche-specific care. This allows Porsche Centre Pattaya to offer enough service capacity to all Porsche customers in the Eastern seaboard of Thailand.
Spectacular car unveilings at the grand opening event Porsche Centre Pattaya officially opened its doors on 6 May 2025. One of the highlights was the presentation of the 911 GT3 Cup from Sime Motors Racing Team.
Sime Motors has long been a supporter of Porsche Motorsport. In the 2025 season of the Carrera Cup Asia, Sime Motors Racing Team entered a single GT3 cup entry piloted by Englishman Hugo Ellis. On 4 to 6 July 2025, the Carrera Cup Asia will race on the street circuit of Bangsaen, just an hour’s drive from Porsche Centre Pattaya.
During the grand opening of the new Porsche Centre Pattaya, the new 911 GTS T-Hybrid was also unveiled – the first street-legal 911 equipped with a super-lightweight performance hybrid. Unveiled for the first time in Southeast Asia at the Bangkok International Motor Show, the exciting new sports car also made waves at the opening of Porsche Centre Pattaya.
The two very special 718 models were also showcased: The 718 GT4 RS and the Spyder RS are the most puristic and powerful models in the 718 range, driven purely by high-revving combustion engines, integrating lightweight construction, an extremely agile chassis set-up, sophisticated aerodynamics and a unique soundtrack. Together, they present the most unfiltered Porsche driving experience on a mid-mounted platform.
Featuring 4.0-litre engines taken directly from the 911 GT3 Cup and 500 PS (493 bhp) outputs each, both vehicles were presented with an extensive option list including Weissach Package and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake – leaving no motorsport wish unfulfilled. Unique to Thailand, the 718 GT4 RS is painted in Shark Blue. Even more special is the Spyder RS, which is finished in Paint-to-Sample “Pure Green”. Both are the only one of their kind in Thailand.
