Taipei, November 21, 2025 – Kia Taiwan has been honoured with the 79th Golden Merchant Award in the category of “Outstanding Foreign Enterprise”, presented by the General Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of China. Known as the “Oscars of the business world”, the award recognises enterprises that have made significant contributions to Taiwan’s economic development.
Joseph Lau, Managing Director of Sime Motors Taiwan, attended the ceremony, receiving commendation from the Presidential Office and Executive Yuan. He remarked, “We are grateful for this recognition once again. Our mission is to enrich the ownership experience for Kia customers. With nearly 60,000 Kia vehicles on the road and more than 60 service locations in Taiwan, we continue to invest greatly in infrastructure. This year, we invested over NT$100 million to establish Taiwan’s first Kia Taipei Flagship Store, further enhancing our service capacity. Looking ahead, we will continue to embrace Sime Group’s philosophy of ‘Bridging Opportunities’, enabling more consumers to experience Kia’s brand spirit of ‘Movement that inspires’.”
