HYUNDAI
The Hyundai brand came into Sime Motors in 2004 via the acquisition of Hyumal Motor Sdn Bhd (now known as Sime Darby Hyundai Sdn Bhd) and Hyundai Berjaya Sdn Bhd (now known as Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd), the official importer and distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Malaysia respectively.
In 2009, Sime Motors consolidated the importation and distribution of Hyundai vehicles in Malaysia when it acquired the remaining 60% equity in Oriental Hyundai Sdn Bhd (now known as Sime Darby-Hyundai Integrated Sdn Bhd), which was representing two Hyundai models.
